Homework for this weekend:
Ms. Hansen's Class:
-Peace belt and reflection OVERDUE. -Create your own Charter for Colonization Project due on Monday. -Safety test and safety form due for Monday. -No school on Friday due to Student-Led Conferences For Ms. Hansen's Class: We had our Woodshop Safety introduction today. Please sign and return the yellow form your student brought home today as soon as possible. Homework for Wood-shop Safety: Sign in to D2L (google 'D2L CBE' and login using your regular student usernames/ passwords for school) Students will not be allowed to participate in a upcoming woodshop project until they return a signed yellow form as well as pass the test on D2L. Ms. Hansen's parents should have gotten an email today from story jumper. This is an online tool we will be using to create our digital picture books for our stories we are working on. If you would like your child to have access to story jumper at home (this way they can work on this project for homework if they don't with the allotted class time) they can have access. Unfortunately if you do not open the email and respond students will not have access at home. Story jumper requires all students under the age of 13 to obtain permission from a parent/guardian prior to giving permission to use this tool at home.
Below are the questions you will need to respond to in regards to your peace belt: 1) How does your chosen belt reflect your vision of peace/and or your identity as a Canadian/world citizen? Discuss all the specific choices you made while designing your belt? 2) How does your peace belt reflect or honour the original purpose of the Wampum Belts of the Iroquois People, which this project was inspired by? *These questions should be answered in full, detailed paragraphs! Show your learning and make deep connections to what we have learned in class.** (These are NOT due tomorrow, however if you would like to work on them please do so). -They will be due for Friday. |
